Brampton Transit detour, starting January 10



Region of Peel contractors are installing a new sanitary sewer

  • on Humberwest Parkway between Goreway Drive and Queen Street East,

part of a project to twin the East Brampton trunk sewer.

Starting 7 p.m. Thursday, January 10, the work zone blocks the northbound traffic lanes of Humberwest. Brampton Transit is detouring buses along this route, while the traffic lanes are closed:

Southbound buses operate along their regular route.

From 7 p.m. Thursday, January 10 until Saturday, January 19, northbound buses operate along their regular route to Goreway Drive and Queen Street East, then detour:

eastward along Queen East;
northward along Sun Pac Boulevard; and then
westward along Exchange Drive to Humberwest Parkway / Goreway Drive,
resuming their regular route northward along Goreway.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Humberwest Parkway north of Queen Street West and at Goreway Drive.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Queen Street East west of Humberwest Parkway and
  • on Exchange Drive at Humberwest Parkway.
