Route 505 Dundas: Buses replace streetcars,
starting February 18

Due to the ongoing shortage of streetcars and several upcoming construction projects, the TTC is replacing streetcars with buses along the 505 Dundas route starting this Sunday, February 18.

Since buses carry fewer passengers than streetcars, the TTC is assigning more vehicles to the route and adjusting the schedules. It’s also increasing the frequency of service along the route.

Upcoming construction projects include:

  • Track construction on Broadview Avenue between Gerrard and Dundas Streets East;
  • Track construction at the junction of Broadview Avenue with Gerrard Street East;
  • Track construction at the junction of Broadview Avenue with Dundas Street East;
  • Track construction at the junction of Lansdowne Avenue with Dundas Street West;
  • Water-main construction on Dundas Street West between Bathurst and Huron Streets.
