Passmore Avenue railway-track construction:
TTC detours, November 10 to 13

Metrolinx contractors are blocking the level crossing on the Uxbridge subdivision tracks (GO Transit’s Stouffville line) at

  • Passmore Avenue

this weekend.

(The work is likely part of the Metrolinx project to build a second track along the line — a major step towards introducing frequent regional express rail service.)

From 11 p.m. Friday, November 10 until 5:15 a.m. Monday, November 13, the TTC is detouring buses operating along these routes, while the crossing is blocked:

  • 43 Kennedy; and
  • 343 Kennedy overnight.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route.

From 11 p.m. Friday, November 10 until 5:15 a.m. Monday, November 13, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Midland and Passmore Avenues, then detour:

southward along Midland; and then
westward along McNicoll Avenue to Kennedy Road,
resuming their regular route southward along Kennedy.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Passmore Avenue at Silver Star Boulevard, across from #65 Passmore and at Kennedy Road and
  • on Kennedy Road south of Purcell Square and at McNicoll Avenue.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Midland Avenue across from Artillery Street, beside #3750 Midland and at McNicoll Avenue and
  • on McNicoll Avenue at Silver Star Boulevard and Kennedy Road.
